My styling motto is usually more “why not?!” then it making any sense but I just love to explore more ways to create your interior. So books as a styling for your window sill: why not?
I find window sill styling often pretty difficult, especially the big ones. It’s best if they are deep, which at least offers you more possibilities in items to use. I usually just put some plants there, it always looks good and it’s good for your plants anyway, so close to the light.
But today I thought of something new! Next to it looking good, it’s something different (I always like that) and it’s even a way to create privacy.
I collected a lot of books and simply put them on the window sill. I let the book covers face the window, I just love the look of the pages. This creates a more calm look, with all those colors it would look rather messy. You could of course also try to collect books only with white cover, black, etcetera.
I feel this is a great way to incorporate books in your interior, without the need of a bookcase.
