I’ve written about the effect of rugs before (here, for instance) and I just can’t tell you enough how I love rugs and the things they do for your sitting area.
This rug above has been in our livingroom for a long time ago, until the weather started to get more and more sunny and I felt we could use some color in our livingroom. Long live persian rugs, because BOOM! Color you’ll have.
It’s so easy, you just change the rug and the entire feel of your livingroom changes. No need for expensive paint jobs, just try a different rug and see if this works out for you. If it doesn’t, simply change it back. That’s my idea of decorating!
Whenever I visit the thriftshop I always try to find myself a new persian rug, but they’re getting more and more popular so I haven’t seen one in a while.. But I would love to add another rug to our collection. Just for fun :-)
