A small update on my favorite living room corner, as some new items entered our house! While this corner is already quite colorful, I decided to spice it up even more with some colorful cushions. Next to that, a new floor light was a must for this corner, and I will tell you all about our choice in this blog.
Palais is a relatively new brand that focuses on timeless and sustainable items. I have met the people behind this brand and it’s an understatement to say I’m a big fan. So when on Valentine’s Day they hosted a 50% off sale, I didn’t hesitate and bought the pillows I was eyeing for some time already. They are bright and colorful and create the perfect color splash for this livingroom corner I was craving.
Next to that, I added this floorlight by MADE. For a good lightning plan, you need to accentuate each corner and in our livingroom, this corner remained a little dark. I tried a vintage table light, but it was too low and therefor still too dark on the top of the wall. When MADE asked me if I wanted to pick out some items from their collection, I immediately knew a good light for this area should be a priority.
The design is quite simple with a brass foot, and pink ribbed glass. This means it creates a beautiful effect when turned on, as you can see in the photo below. It really is the perfect light for this corner, and a styling item on its own. I love those!
On the opposite of this corner is our couch, and in the bay window our daybed. I am really loving this set-up as it is now, as it means we have a lot of seating options. And while it is always a challenge to pick out a favorite item, I am currently loving the new art, and you can see more of it HERE.
