A DIY magazine holder on the blog today! And it’s easy, I promise.
If you’re like me you have a lot of magazines laying around the house. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. Like more than hundred a lot. I just think most magazines are just too pretty to throw away and they make great decoration items. I put them in a window sill, a trolley or on the coffee table. So when I saw this DIY on the Instagram of Hanneke, I knew this would be perfect for me as a magazine hoarder.
Like I promised it’s fairly easy. You take a piece of wood the same size as a magazine (I used underlayment), you put it on four wheels and that’s it! I’ve added a belt and some accessories on top as a finishing touch.
It fits perfectly in this corner of our bedroom. It’s a small accessory you can place anywhere you like.
To top it off I have some budget tips for you: a dried flower is a great styling item that you have to spend money on only once. This dried hydrangea has been sitting pretty in our bedroom for half a year now! I love dried flowers, I’ve written this blogpost about it last week about a personal touch in our daughters room.
The next budget tip is that the box of your (designer) sunglasses is also a great item to use. Usually you wouldn’t use boxes like this but that’s such a shame! They are often very beautiful so use them. In our house it’s storage for my hair accessories, and therefor very practical.
So that’s it! Hope you enjoyed this DIY magazine holder and feel inspired to make one yourself. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me anything :)
